The Post Graduate Department of Urban Design and Conservation at Khwopa Engineering College recently hosted a guest lecture for Batch 2079. On the 22nd of Mangsir 2080, the students had the privilege of learning from a distinguished figure in the field, Prof. Dr. Jagadish Chandra Pokharel.
Prof. Dr. Pokharel, a luminary in urban planning, is a former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC) and serves as an advisor to the government of Nepal, international agencies, and various experts in the field. His expertise extends to regional development planning and environmental management, making him a valuable resource for the aspiring urban designers at Khwopa Engineering College.
During the lecture, Prof. Dr. Jagadish Chandra Pokharel delved into the intricacies of "Urban Design and Planning," providing students with insights drawn from his extensive experience. His role as the Chairman of the Nepal Institute for Urban and Regional Studies added a practical dimension to the lecture, enriching the students' understanding of the real-world applications of urban design principles.
