The Department of Civil Engineering at our college recently conducted a two-day faculty training program on the cutting-edge technologies of GNSS Surveying, UAV Survey, and Data Processing. The training took place from the 21st to the 22nd of Ashoj, 2080 and aimed to equip our faculty members with the latest skills and knowledge in these fields.
The primary objective of this training program was to provide comprehensive insights into the world of GNSS Surveying, UAV Surveying, and the associated data processing techniques. On the first day of the program, participants delved into GNSS Surveying, learning about GNSS receivers, error identification in GNSS observations, correction techniques, data access, computation, and the diverse applications of GNSS technology. To enhance the learning experience, participants were taken to the field for practical demonstrations and hands-on experience in data collection and processing.
The second day of the training was dedicated to UAV Surveying and Data Processing. Faculty members were introduced to UAV surveys, encompassing aspects such as data collection, flight planning, output generation, and the myriad applications of UAV technology. The training also covered the data processing aspect, exploring various software tools that are pivotal in this field.
The training sessions were conducted by experts from Aviyaan Tech P. Ltd., a renowned technology company based in Kathmandu. Aviyaan Tech is well-known for its expertise in GNSS Surveying, UAV Surveying, and Data Processing, making them the perfect choice to lead this instructional program.
This training has equipped our faculty members with the latest techniques and skills in these emerging fields, enabling them to better prepare our students for the dynamic and technologically advanced civil engineering industry.
