On April 16th and 17th 2022, a Provincial Level "CODEFEST-2022" event was organized by Code for Change (CFC) at King's College, Babarmahal Kathmandu. The main theme of the event was to transform ideas into reality.
The first part of the event was IDEATHON in which 85+ teams and 350+ members participated. Four teams of students from Khwopa Engineering College took part in the event. Two teams from Electronics and Communication Faculty comprising Manjil Raut, Mohan Lal Shrestha, Sameer Rawal, Sujan Gyapak (Project title: "E-Waste Management System”) and Prasanna Man Topi, Rabi Basukala, Srizan Koju, Suraj Shilpakar (Project title "Digitalized Fare Collection") marked their presence in the event. Similarly, two teams from the Computer Engineering Faculty comprising students Abiral Khadka, Rohan Kaju, Sangam Thapa, Sujan Khusu with project title "Smart Move" and Nista Shakya, Maulik Basnet, Prasamsha Bakhrel, Sajan Khadka with their project titled "Ushakal", presented their ideas in the event.
The team of Computer Engineering Faculty students Nista Shakya, Maulik Basnet, Prasamsha Bakhrel, and Sajan Khadka were the winners among the other four winners from Bagmati Pradesh and will be participating in the National Level HACKATHON CODEFEST-2022 where they will be competing against winners from other six provinces.
Shuvam Karn (a Student from Electronics and Communication Department) volunteered in the event as a member of the event organizing committee.
The event was organized with the aim to bring students forward from different parts of the country with their ideas. Experts from different fields provided their feedback and praised the participants for their ideas. We extend our best wishes to the winning team for the National Level of CODEFEST-2022.
