On the occasion of the Bhaktapur Mahotsav 2081, the 23rd Anniversary of Khwopa Engineering College (KhEC), and the 16th Anniversary of Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE), the Civil Engineering Department of both colleges jointly organized the Last Building Standing on Shake Table Competition.

This competition emphasized innovative construction techniques while testing the stability and resilience of buildings under simulated seismic conditions. Participating groups, comprising 3 to 4 students each, showcased their creative and technical expertise by constructing earthquake-resistant building models.

The event was successfully conducted on 1 Poush and the prizes were distributed on 2 Poush, Tuesday, during the colleges' anniversary celebrations.

This platform enabled students to demonstrate their engineering skills, creativity, and technical understanding, while also fostering innovative construction techniques and testing the stability and resilience of buildings under simulated seismic conditions.
