Department of Architecture at Khwopa Engineering College organized a guest lecture on 30th Falgun 2079. The topic of the lecture was "महाभूकम्पपछिको पुनर्निर्माण: जापानको अनुभव", a book published in 2078 Mangsir. The book is the Nepali translation of the book titled “Post Disaster Reconstruction: Issues, Models and Lessons (The case of Japan’s Post 1995 Great Hansin-Awaji Earthquake and Beyond)”.

The author of the book Prof. Dr. Mohan Moorti Pant presented the analysis of the post-disaster reconstruction process in Japan following the Great Hansin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995, and offered the valuable insights into the challenges and issues involved in the post-disaster reconstruction. His presentation highlighted the importance of community participation as well as effective governance in the reconstruction process. The presenter emphasized how the lessons and insights presented are relevant to other countries like Nepal affected by natural disasters. The presentation was followed by the thoughtful discussion with the audiences.
