Khwopa Engineering College (KhEC) proudly inaugurated the "Thesis and Project Exhibition - 2024" on Monday at its Libali, Bhaktapur premises. The event showcased the creativity, innovation, and technical expertise of final-year students from various disciplines, including engineering and architecture.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Sunil Prajapati, Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality and Chairman of the College Management Committee, who marked the occasion by cutting the ribbon. In his address, Mr. Prajapati extended his best wishes for the success of the exhibition and emphasized the importance of clear communication between exhibitors and visitors. He urged students to thoroughly explain their projects to attendees, ensuring their innovations were well understood and appreciated. Mr. Prajapati also highlighted the ongoing progress within Bhaktapur Municipality and expressed his gratitude to KhEC's faculty and students for their significant contributions, particularly in addressing technical challenges related to conservation and new construction projects.
The Deputy Mayor and Vice-Chairman of the College Management Committee provided an insightful briefing on the objectives behind the establishment of KhEC. She discussed contemporary issues in the engineering and architectural fields, motivating students to transition from academic life to professional careers. She praised their impressive achievements and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their future endeavors.
Er. Sujan Maka, Principal of KhEC; Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE); and Dr. Subeg Man Bijukchhen, Vice-Principal of KhEC, also addressed the inaugural program. They conveyed their best wishes for the exhibition's success and elaborated on the event's purpose, emphasizing the importance of such co-curricular activities in enriching the academic experience.
The "Thesis and Project Exhibition - 2024" showcased a diverse range of student projects, including 41 theses from final-year B.Arch students, 11 projects from BE Computer final-year students, and 10 projects from BE Electronics and Communication final-year students. The exhibition also featured mini-projects addressing real-world challenges, detailed architectural models, and artistic contributions from the arts department.
The exhibition attracted a diverse audience, including faculty members, industry professionals, and the general public. It provided students with a valuable platform to demonstrate their skills, receive constructive feedback, and gain recognition for their hard work.
