Assoc. Professor , Yasushi Takeuchi from Miyagi University delivered a presentation on a rehabilitation project at emergency mesaures of East Japan Great Earthquake Disaster of 2013.03.11 on the topic "The Banya Project ".
The presentation was manily focused in the Community Architect and how victimized fishery groups, students of architecture and japanese comapnies got success in rehabilitation process during the disasters.
According Mr. Takeuchi , Banya is simple hut used by fishery groups of Japan for temporary shelter and storing fishery equipements. When tsunami and earthquake striked Japan badly , students of Architecture not only designed temporary shelter for victims and victimized fishery groups , but also worked as volunteers to build Banya within 3 days.
They raised a slogan " Not only temporary housings but the temporary industrial faciliteis for rehabilitation" and the slogan came true in Japan by joint effort of students, local people and companies.
And the presentation conlcuded that in future there will be great importances of "Community Architect".
